Dunamis is the Greek word δύναμις — inherent, explosive, miracle-working power.
Every season, Reality of Christ Church — Where Strangers Become Family — opens its doors for five days of unhindered worship, sound teaching and prayer — contending for the same power the early church walked in. This is the second time Dunamis has landed on Tanzanian soil: what began as a four-day encounter is returning bigger — five days, multiple nations.
From 28 October to 1 November, at Viwanja vya Kenton (karibu na TRA Mwenge) in Dar es Salaam, hosted by Reality of Christ Church under the visionary leadership of Bishop Sunbella Kyando, we believe this will be the loudest Dunamis yet.
The Good News of Jesus
Every Dunamis begins and ends at the same place — the Gospel. Simply put: God loves you, and made a way back to Himself through His Son, Jesus Christ. Whatever you're carrying, whatever you've done or had done to you, that love was strong enough to meet you there.
You don't need to have your life sorted out before you walk through our doors. Some of us are meeting Jesus for the very first time this Dunamis. Others have walked with Him for years and are simply hungry for more. Both are welcome. Both belong.

Julius Nyerere International Airport (DAR) is the main hub into Dar es Salaam, located approximately 30–45 minutes from Viwanja vya Kenton, Mwenge depending on traffic.

Tanzania operates on East Africa Time (EAT, UTC+3) year-round — with no daylight saving time changes to worry about.

Uses Type G plugs (230V). Expect warm, tropical weather (~28°C–32°C) — we recommend light clothing and an umbrella for quick showers.
